Khaybar Heritage Tour Outline (Total time: 6 hours)
AlRawan Viewpoint (Duration: 1.5 hours)

Start at the Welcome Centre at the AlRawan Viewpoint. Check-in with the guide, discover the interactive displays and grab an audio guide. Walk to key spots around the viewpoint, learning about the history of Khaybar along the way. Return the audio guide.

Self-Guided Exploration (Duration: 4.5 hours)
1:00 pm | 2:30 pm
Enjoy some self-guided exploration around the oasis, on foot or by bicycle. Have lunch at Tayka, serving Saudi favourites with a contemporary twist. Use this free time to discover Khaybar from above on a helicopter tour or tethered hot air balloon ride.

For tours starting directly in Khaybar, please arrive to the Welcome Centre at AlRawan Viewpoint at least 15 minutes before your tour is set to begin. Late arrivals will not be eligible for a refund.

*If you are travelling from AlUla, visitors are invited to stop at the traditional Bedouin Camp along the route to Khaybar. You must show your Khaybar Heritage Tour ticket to enjoy the Bedouin Camp.

Khaybar Heritage Tour from AlUla by Private Car
For tours starting from AlUla with transportation by private car, the car will pick you up at your hotel. To book a private car, you will first book a Khaybar Heritage Tour and then will see an option to add a private transfer. Please book your Khaybar Heritage Tour ticket and your private transfer on the same date.

Khaybar Heritage Tour from AlUla by Luxury Bus
For tours starting from AlUla with transportation by luxury bus, groups will meet at Winter Park Visitor Parking. Please arrive promptly at the meeting point, at least 30 minutes prior to departure time. Late arrivals will not be eligible for a refund.

AlRawan Viewpoint

AlRawan Viewpoint is the main entry point into Khaybar. It provides breathtaking vistas of the verdant Khaybar Oasis, with the outcropping of AlNizar Fort easily seen in the distance. A revived hub celebrating Khaybar's natural, cultural and historical treasures, there is much to explore, including the AlRawan Market.

Ain AlJammah & Hasat AlDabal

The oases of Khaybar are bursting with a variety of flora and fauna, all thriving in its fertile environment, nourished by life-giving fresh water. The nurturing quality of the oasis and its vital role as a place of connection for the people of Khaybar can be seen in the local farms, which are still cared for today.

Take a unique Tethered Hot Air Balloon ride in Khaybar, flying high enough to see Bronze Age traces of ancient stone structures, geometric shapes, and facades. These ancient monuments are an essential part of the city's historic heritage - only able to be seen from above. Flight times range from 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm.

Drive from AlUla, Khaybar or the surrounding areas, to experience the ancient history of Khaybar. Check-in at the Welcome Centre for a short brief before starting your tour. Visitors travelling from AlUla are invited to stop at the traditional Bedouin Camp halfway between AlUla and Khaybar.

The heritage sites have been part of AlUla’s cultural landscape for thousands of years. We hope the visitors who explore these sites will preserve this historic area by adhering to the following:


Please do:
  • Take nothing but pictures; leave nothing but footprints.
  • Please adhere to the designated walking paths and do not enter non-designated areas, such as the tombs. There is still much to be discovered about AlUla, and entering the tombs or other areas may damage the antiquities yet to be discovered underneath.
  • Please avoid distorting or marking the rock surfaces, including touching our pouring water on the engravings.
  • Do not remove rocks or take anything from the heritage sites.
  • Keep these sites clean; put your litter in the allocated bin.
  • For your safety, please do not climb rocky ledges.

  • Do not scratch, draw or in anyway mark the monuments.
  • Do not climb.
  • Heritage sites are non-smoking except in the designated smoking areas.
  • Do not remove or take anything from the tombs.
  • Do not remove or take anything from the ground.
  • No fires of any kind are permited including campfires.
  • No trees or plants are to be removed.

Visitors who mistreat the monuments will be asked to leave and will not be allow to revisit in future.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
Customer Bookings: We will gladly refund the ticket price of cancelled experiences up to 3 days before the scheduled tours. Unfortunately, we are unable to refund credit card fees. Experiences cancelled within 1–3 days before your tour may be rebooked if timeslots are available but are not eligible for refund. We are unable to refund or rebook experiences cancelled on the day of scheduled tours.

Booked through 3rd Party or Travel Agent: If you booked your experience through a third party, please coordinate with them on policies, changes and updates.
