Desert X AlUla 2022 Open Air Art Exhibit
Following its inaugural exhibition in 2020, Desert X AlUla returned for its second edition from 11th February to 30th March 2022, and placed newly commissioned works by Saudi and international artists in dialogue with the extraordinary nature and culture of AlUla. Under the theme of Sarab, the 2022 exhibition explored ideas of mirage and oasis, both intrinsic to desert history and culture, which have taken on complex worldwide significance over time. Desert X AlUla 2022 was under the curatorial vision of Reem Fadda, Raneem Farsi and Neville Wakefield.

AlUla invited all audiences to be immersed in the ancient and majestic landscape of AlUla's desert region, to engage their sense of adventure and to open their hearts as they explored the various art installations. With 15 incredible and diverse artists, guests could pay attention not only to the physicality of the displayed works but also to the stories they told emotionally, historically or socially.
