As part of the AlUla Arts Festival, Villa Hegra showcases three major milestones in contemporary design. Saudi artist Badr Ali debuts a capsule collection with USM Haller; designer-in-residence Paul Emilieu Marchesseau crafts bespoke furniture with Saudi partners; and Jean-Baptiste Fastrez’s works, commissioned via Mobilier National, enrich the Villa café. The space also hosts works by Théo Mercier ahead of his 2026 Diriyah Biennale show.
Saudi artist Badr Ali presents a capsule furniture collection created in collaboration with iconic Swiss brand USM Haller. Designed specifically for Villa Hegra, the pieces reflect a dialogue between regional identity and modular innovation, marking a bold intersection of Saudi creativity and international design.
Villa Hegra’s first designer-in-residence, Paul Emilieu Marchesseau, introduces custom furniture for the Villa’s five artist studios. Crafted in partnership with Alphaplus, Shaddah Design, and Saudi artisans, his work reimagines the studio as a space of creative care and cultural exchange.
The Villa Hegra café showcases contemporary works from Jean-Baptiste Fastrez’s OSAKA line, commissioned through Mobilier National. These pieces sit alongside heritage furnishings also loaned by the institution, creating a layered interior where legacy and avant-garde design converge.
