  • Secure your spot – Complete your payment on ExperienceAlUla.com to lock in your place and become part of the Kingdom’s hottest and most challenging race.
  • Get your confirmation – You’ll receive an email immediately, with a booking form attached. Using the personalized link inside, you’ll need to enter your full registration details.
  • Finalise your registration – Once you’ve submitted the form, the organisers will reach out with everything you need to know. Expect essential race info, logistics guidance, and tips to help you prepare for the heat, terrain and unforgettable experience ahead.

Race Day at Hegra Heritage Site
The first race starts at 8:00 AM
Individual race start times will be communicated to racers during the briefing on 15 August.

  • Preregistration is required
  • Please bring your e-ticket and ID for entry
  • The minimum age restriction for the 5Km & 10 Km race is 16 years old, and minimum restriction for the 21.1Km and 42.2Km is 18 years old.
  • Individual race start times will be communicated to racers during the briefing on 15 August.
  • Race packs must be collected in person by each participant at the Race Village in Al Fursan on the briefing day. They contain your bib number and official shirt.
  • Racers will be expected to arrive at the starting point 90 minutes before their race begins.
Briefing Day (15 August 2025) to Al Fursan Village:


Race Day (16 August 2025) to Hegra Heritage Site:

  • Optional Shuttle: Arrive at Winter Park meeting point by 06:00 for timely departure to Hegra Heritage Site.
  • Drive directly to Hegra and park at the Hegra Visitors Parking. Arrive at least 90 minutes before your race start time.

  • Participants should wear lightweight and breathable fabric clothing (shirt, shorts, tights). Please also make sure to wear SPF, a cap, and running shoes, preferably lighter colours.

Timings: To keep the race running smoothly, please ensure you arrive on time. Unfortunately, we won’t be able to accommodate late starts - anyone arriving more than 5 minutes after their race begins will not be permitted to run.
Refunds: Please note that all ticket sales are final and non-refundable.
Medals: Finisher medals will be handed out at the finish line - a well-earned reward for those who complete the full course.

The pre-racing brief is for your safety to ensure that all racers follow our guidelines and understand the race route. And yes, this is mandatory.

Yes, please! There will be two food trucks, ice cream, juice, and coffee stations, plus music and entertainment, including shaded areas for rest.

The race village will be full of energy and open to both runners and spectators. Enjoy live music from a DJ, capture memories at the photo booth. Explore other activations including AlUla Desert Blaze merchandise, a variety of food trucks, and a recovery zone with ice baths. Don’t miss the award ceremonies celebrating top finishers in each category for all race distances.

Yes, there will be post-event celebrations and an award ceremony to celebrate the winners and the efforts of all runners, plus music and entertainment.

Medical and water support stations are set up at numerous points along the routes to help ensure the safety of participants. There will also be a roaming ambulance and main clinic at the race village with physiotherapists, doctors, nurses, massages and ice bath options.

Even with AlUla’s relatively temperate summer temperatures, expect sweltering heat during the day. The evenings are cool with the low humidity, allowing for pleasant outdoor dining.
