Growing up, Magida El Roumi was no stranger to musical talents. Her father, Halim El Roumi, was a famous singer and composer with over 2,000 songs created, specifically in the Andalusian style. The El Roumi residence was a well-known meeting place for many cultural figures and singers in Lebanon, and as such Halim El Roumi is credited with the discovery of many hit artists. Inspired by these great musicians, Magida’s musical career started at a young age.
From international festivals to world tours, Magida El Roumi’s stunning soprano is a delight to hear. Magida also uses her fame to spread peace and awareness, becoming a UN Goodwill Ambassador, a Middle East Humanitarian Ambassador for Save the Children and gaining many honours and titles for her advocacy.
AlUla was excited to welcome such an influential, cultural talent like Magida El Roumi to the Maraya stage!
