This exciting trek is your chance to experience age-old traditions and see the lifestyle of the local Bedouin people. Ride a camel deep into the vast desert, guided by a local expert to a traditional campsite. Take in the famous Bedouin hospitality as you're welcomed with tea and traditional snacks and sweets. Watch a folklore dance, see a fascinating falcon show, taste the local cuisine, and more!
Schedule & Itinerary
Experience will be divided into two periods which is morning and evening periods
Evening period main activities:
- Camel rides will be in the morning period and distributed to six rounds in different times until the sunset.
- Arrive to the camp entrance then experience the Bedouin life style and having a welcoming Arabic coffee.
- Embark on a traditional camel caravan across the desert before retuning to the camp.
- Followed by observing the preparation of a typical Bedouin Snacks at live cooking stations and then to finally enjoy a series of local plates, dof course paired with the local tea on the fire.
- Take pictures with flacons in the camp and buy a souvenir before leaving the camp.
Evening period main activities:
- Evening period start from 6pm until 12pm
- Arrive to the camp entrance then experience the Bedouin life style and having a welcoming Arabic coffee.
- Spend time with the local Bedouins, listening to their stores and taking part in a traditional performance, including a the local folklore dance.
- Free time to enjoy and relax at the camp. We will be serving hot and cold beverages, and shisha at the campsite seating area.
- Take pictures with flacons in the camp and buy a souvenir before leaving the camp.

• Duration: 4 hours for morning treks / up to 6 hours for evening treks
• Meeting location: Pangaea Centre in Ashar Park
We advise reaching Ashar Park 15 minutes before your start time. The camel trek is conducted by our experienced team, with extensive knowledge about ecotourism, cultural heritage, history and the natural environment of AlUla. Guests will ride camels around 2 hours into the desert to reach a traditional Bedouin camp. Once there, visitors will be welcomed with Arabic coffee and seated in a shaded area.
Children 8 years and older are welcome.
